Infinity Hospice Care (IHC) provides end-of-life comfort and care to ease the emotional and physical pain of our patients with a terminal diagnosis. Instead of keeping our patients in a hospital setting, care is delivered in a private home, group home, or an assisted living community. Volunteers are needed to support patients and their families, by making social visits for companionship or to provide a much-needed break for caregivers to get away for a few hours to run errands or attend appointments. There are many ways you can help: Personal visits Phone calls Running errands Sharing hobbies and interests Reminiscing and documenting life stories Swapping military stories Sharing music or aromatherapy And just being there to spend time with a patient for companionship and/or caregiver relief. Hospice volunteers are not necessarily medical people, but they are specially trained to provide support and companionship during a patient's end-of-life journey. IHC provides you with online training and on-going support. You'll have all the tools you need for an enriching experience that will make a big difference in the lives of those you serve. Along with convenient, online training, your schedule will be flexible and can be set by you! With locations throughout the Phoenix metro area and surrounding communities, you won't have to work far from home. Infinity Hospice Care is a Level 5 partner with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHCPO) and the Veteran's Administration's We Honor Vets program. This is the highest designation offered and means we've consistently proven our excellence in caring for the unique needs of our Veterans--both those in our service and also many in our community. Specialized training is given to those volunteers who work with Veterans. IHC follows the guidelines of the CDC and AZ regarding COVID 19 protocols. You will not be sent to a home where someone has COVID. You will be trained and provided with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help you stay safe out in the community. If you don't have your COVID-19 vaccination, you can still help by making phone calls or writing cards and letters. Don't wait...if your heart says "Help", please get in touch today.

Are you a Veteran? You can make a difference in your life and the lives of the people we are privileged to serve! Those who have served our country have unique end-of-life needs that are specific to their time in the military. They have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve and we believe it is never too late to give them a hero's welcome home and to make sure they are not alone or forgotten. Veteran volunteers are paired with our Veteran patients, spending time with them talking, and listening and may also be involved in pinning ceremonies, community events and more. Infinity Hospice Care offers a comprehensive training program to provide education on end-of-life issues and a flexible schedule to meet your availability along with on-going support and much gratitude. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check and a pre-employment drug screen. Opportunities are available valley-wide. Please join us in giving compassionate listening and grateful acknowledgment to Veteran patients at the end of life. To learn more about the needs in your area, please email smongrain@infinityhospicecare.com.
