Mission Statement
The mission statement specifies the fundamental reasons for the Friends of the Lexington Public Library' s existence, established the scope of activities, and provides overall direction. In appreciation of the role the Library plays in the quality of life in this area. The Friends of the Lexington Public Library provide nonessential financial and volunteer services to the library, and functions consistently with the goals and objectives of the Lexington Public Library and its Board of Trustees.
Description
Friends Book Cellar is a used bookstore located in the lower level of Central Library . The bookstore is run by the non-profit group, Friends of Lexington Public Library. Check out our website: friendsbookcellar.org
Friends Book Cellar is open 6 days a week: Mon. thru Sat. 9-4pm; & open on first Sunday of each month 1-5pm. Volunteers are needed to cashier, sort , price and shelve books. Volunteers are also needed to help in our e-Bay sales. Volunteers need to be at least 16 yrs. old and seniors are most welcome.
