Mission Statement

My Voice Music is a nonprofit organization based in Portland Oregon that engages marginalized youth in music and performance in order to promote self-esteem, social skills and emotional expression.

Description

My Voice Music uses music to help youth express themselves and be heard. We work with youth in the Portland area who are experiencing difficult circumstances. Many of the youth we work with are either living in foster care, residential treatment facilities, or are homeless.

We run music camps, provide mentorship experiences, and facilitate recording workshops, at local service providers and schools in order to promote music as a positive outlet for youth to engage in.

Our hope is to provide youth with a tool that will help them to cope in their current situation, as well as the skills to help them create a fulfilled life far into the future.
