Mission Statement

As an agency we are commited to making our services available to all battered women. We are working to create an environment that is sensitve and responsive to the needs of a variety of communities. We encourage bilingual women; women of color, disabled women, lesbian, bisexual, and transgenered women; as well as women of all ages, socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures to volunteer. We value and respect the experience of domestic violence survivors, and the participation of formerly battered women is crucial to the battered women's movement. We have an on-going comitment to confronting racism, homophobia, ablebodyism, ageism, sexism, and all manifestions of institutional oppression.
