Mission Statement

Student Technology Enhancement Program - Project STEP at Auburn University (AUM) uses computer technology to enhance education and employment opportunities for students with disabilities. From the program students receive tutorial support, computer training, career exploration, and training to develop self-advocacy skills to assist them in their transition to higher education.

Description

Students with disabilities enjoy the opportunity to experience the post-secondary education environment. As part of this experience they will: improve computer operation and internet skills, increase knowledge of higher education opportunities, receive tutorial support, develop self-advocacy skills,and develop college survival skills.

I found this organization to be helpful to our kids. The children are our investment into the future and we have to be mindful of our assets and make sure they are funded with our overall support.
