Mission Statement
To serve our community by providing mentoring and tutoring programs that support and encourage youth and young adults in their efforts to become productive individuals living full and satisfying lives.
Description
For secondary and post-secondary students: providing mentors for young adults who may have made choices that limit their ability to succeed in some area of their life (left school, had children at an early age without adequate monetary or emotional support, legal troubles, etc.)
- helping young adults with budgeting, securing items for daily living, etc. Any student, regardless of scholastic standing, is welcome to make use of this service.
For elementary students:
- providing one-on-one tutoring for students who may benefit from additional interventions in the areas of basic reading, reading comprehension, math calculation, math problem solving, and written expression
- providing small group tutoring for students who are English-language learners
- providing mentoring services to students needing the presence of an additional caring adult in their lives
Any student, regardless of scholastic standing, is welcome to make use of this service.
