Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a full-time hands-on learning center, The Discovery Playhouse, for the families of the Cape Girardeau region. The Discovery Playhouse provides an interactive, self-sustaining learning center where children, families and community members play, learn and discover a love for science, the arts and the world around them.

Description

Discovery Playhouse is a nonprofit children's museum. Established in 2006, the Discovery Playhouse openned its doors in its current locaiton in Downtown Cape Girardeau in 2010. The organization was formed by a group of interested citizens to address the need for a hands-on learning center in the area.
