I am acquainted with a number of consumer families associated with DES/DDD as well as some staff of this State agency. The outreach and services for the developmentally disabled (DD) population and their family/caregivers has made a profound difference in their lives. The Human Rights Committees throughout the Arizona provide independent oversight to make certain the human rights of the DD population are protected, and HRC advocates on all levels to ensure their rights. Anyone interested in serving the community in a unique, challenging, and very much needed capacity among those most vulnerable in our communities would find their volunteer HSC membership personally rewarding and an opportunity to service in a very special and advocative role. Let's Roll!
