Mission Statement

Ravenna United Methodist Church is a community of Christians committed to sharing God's saving love with all we meet. We see all people to be of sacred worth. Following Jesus' example we strive to be open and inclusive to persons of all race, status, and sexual orientation and seek to work to bring peace, justice and reconciliation to our world. We are a community that affirms and challenges, comforts and confronts, welcomes and sends forth.

Description

Ravenna UMC is a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network, a network which publicly affirms their ministry with the whole family of God and who welcome people of all sexual orientations into their community. Our membership consists of families, seniors, singles, children and those with physical disabilities working together as a Christian community to try and better our world. We have a special gift for nurturing those who have felt disenfranchised, and a commitment for full inclusion of all. Moreover, we actively try to voice that call for full inclusion publicly.
