The VITA program is a great place to volunteer. You get trained and there are always people to help answer any questions while you're doing the actual tax returns. You must be computer literate as a lot of the training is done via computer and all the returns are prepared on the computer. Being detail oriented is also helpful. The OC United Way takes good care of their volunteers. I'm looking forward to helping out again.

Love the fact that you can certified in tax preparation for free. Lunch is free. parking is free. You gain skills and help out individuals with there taxes for free. Great learning experience and excellent on your resume.
