The Wellness Community-California Central Coast

Description

At The Wellness Community people affected by cancer learn about the patient active method, "combining the will of the patient with the skill of the physician". Participants meet people like themselves and learn ways to involve themselves in their fight. All participants are invited to use the community in much the same way as they would use a neighborhood center. Participants and staff are present throughout the day. Activities are scheduled according to the needs of participants and are organized around three founding principle themes: support, education, and hope.
