Mission Statement

To collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit the railroad and WWII homefront history of Dennison, Ohio.

Description

Our museum is housed in a restored 1873 Pennsylvania Railroad station, exacty halfway between Columbus and Pittsburgh. It was once the Panhandle Division headquarters for the PRR. A strong grass roots effort restored the building, and the community remains strongly engaged in our downtown historic center street district. Today the Depot houses a museum, restaurant and gift shop. We are open year round with a full calendar of events and special events. Biggest events include Polar Express at Christmas and the American Soldiers Homecoming Festival in August.

We have 18 different volunteer groups including: Model Railroaders, Car Hosts (for train rides), Polar Express Volunteers (including folks who will be Santa, Mrs. Claus, Storytellers, elves, etc.) Friends of the Museum that put on a Ball each year, gift shop gals, office help, exhibit committee, rolling stock committee, jr. volunteers and more. We welcome all volunteers!
