Mission Statement
The Axelrod Firm, PC is a woman-owned three-attorney law firm located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania helping individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations with their appellate, commercial, real estate, estate planning and bodily injury litigation needs. The Firm's attorneys are Sheryl Axelrod, Bob Cohen and Chris Stouffer.
The Axelrod Firm is dedicated to philanthropy and community service. In addition to her volunteer positions on TLAA and the Bar Association, Sheryl Axelrod spent 5 years coaching high school mock trial teams and in 2009, was awarded the Temple Law Alumni Association's Distinguished Service Award. In 2010, The Axelrod Firm donated $1,000 each to Temple Law School and The Salvation Army.
Our woman-owned law firm is also dedicated to diversity. We have had 12 clerks: 2 African American women, 3 African American men, 1 Asian American woman, 3 Caucasian women including a Jewish woman, an openly gay woman and a female Jehovah's Witness and 3 Caucasian men including a Jewish man.

The Axelrod Firm has been certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be a woman-owned business, making it a state certified minority-owned business. Its owner, Sheryl Axelrod, who previously worked at the prestigious law firm Blank Rome, LLP, has been recognized by as a "Super Lawyer" for the past two years in a row. She is the President-Elect of the Temple Law Alumni Association (TLAA), and will be its 4th female president in its over 95 year history when her term starts in June 2011. She has the distinction of being named to 2 posts in the Philadelphia Bar Association. The Chancellor of the Bar appointed her: (1) to the Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention, which e nsures that the public is well informed about those running to be judges, and those judges running for re-election; and (2) to Co-Chair the Bar's Law Practice Management Committee.
