Sanctuary Friends Foundation of the Florida Keys

The SFFFK is the nonprofit partner of the FKNMS, and was created to inspire people to preserve, protect and promote our treasured Florida Keys reefs. Through public and private-sector partnerships, the SFFFK creates conservation-based research and education and outreach programs designed to connect the public with these invaluable and important ocean and coastal resources.

Throughout its existence, the SFFFK has worked to build partnerships in the community to promote conservation and develop an ocean-literate public able to make informed and responsible decisions regarding our precious subtropical ocean resources. The SFFFK assists in the protection of FKNMS coral reefs and related marine ecosystems through grassroots, community-based efforts focused on projects such as coral reef and seagrass bed restoration, surveys, monitoring, and research. SFFFK also sponsors environmental education for audiences that include children, visitors, and businesses, and is continually striving to support and strengthen community-based efforts that protect our Florida Keys waters.
