Mission Statement

Our mission is threefold: to provide medical treatment for injured bald eagles and other birds of prey, to educate people about Alaska's birds and environmental conservation, and to conduct bald eagle research.

Description

Our Center began in 1980 with two gentleman working in their back yard with one bald eagle. We are a private non-profit organization supported by our memberships, donations and summer tour season. Last year we had 65 volunteers donate more than 3,500 hours of their time - from working in our gift shop, our front office and even doing the really glamorous jobs of cleaning eagle cages.
