Mission Statement

The Walker network of facilities and professionals provides state-of-the-art special education and world-class mental health services to children and adolescents, ages 3 to 22, in multidisciplinary programs at The Walker School, Beacon High School, and Walker Partnerships. A wide range of Walker support and outreach services extend these specialized therapeutic environments beyond our classrooms into family homes, public schools, and community settings. Friends of Walker is a group of dedicated individuals that seek to improve the lives of the children Walker serves through volunteering and fundraising. Friends of Walker also provides its members with the opportunity to network, develop new skills, and to have fun with their peers. Through our efforts we look to share with the community the great work Walker is doing for severely at-risk children and their families.
