Description

The Volunteer Services Department is an integral partner in achieving member satisfaction. Volunteers are dedicated to providing caring and compassionate assistance to our members, guests and staff.

The purpose of the Volunteer Services Department is to provide supplementary, complementary, and support services to our health plan members, their families and visitors, and to the Kaiser Permanente staff. In addition, our objective is to provide an opportunity for individuals to volunteer their services in a community health care facility. The volunteer program is designed to provide satisfaction for the volunteer, the health plan member, and his/her family.

The Volunteer Services Department seeks to coordinate all segments of volunteer activity to support the goals of other departments. Our primary concerns are patient welfare and quality care. The department participates in patient service activities and programs which are compatible with the policies of the medical facilities.

I have been a Kaiser member in Northern California since 1978. I thought it was a great health plan then. it has become even better with the use of computers. my amazing doctor responds to me emails sometimes within minutes of the time I send them, either by email or a phone call. I love that the lab, pharmacy, and other services are all at the same location. I think the medical care I receive is outstanding. My late husbands, who had many medical issues, received excellent care. On one occasion he had requested a special mattress for the hospital bed that Kaiser provided, and the rental agency was on the phone before we returned from the doctor's office.

I think is an amazing organization with excellent health leaders. I am a Pediatrician doctor by the way!

I'm very likely revccomend kaiser to friends because the doctors and nurses at kaiser are very understanding and caring I just love how they allways give me a good advise on every appointment .
