YWCA Princeton is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
The mission of the YWCA Princeton is to eliminate racism and empower women. Everything we do is intended to be true to this purpose.
More than 5,000 members take advantage of our programs and services: from child care, after school care and summer camps to dance, art and crafts and book clubs; from educational lectures and seminars to aquatics, martial arts and wellness classes.
Our mission to eliminate racism is highlighted by our English as a Second Language program and our multi-lingual nursery school, as well as our annual "Stand Against Racism," which has been replicated by YWCAs across the country.
Our mission to empower women is the hallmark of our Breast Cancer Resource Center, which provides help, hope and ongoing support for breast cancer survivors, and their families and caregivers.
Every day, we encourage women and girls to become volunteers, mentors, thinkers and leaders. As we put our mission into action, the Friends of the YWCA lead the charge to allocate eighty-five cents of every dollar we raise to the women and families of our communities.
