Westwind 4-h is a wonderful organization to volunteer with. I started there in Jan. of 2005, and actualy ended up being hired to teach by the end of the year. You get to be around nice people, friendly horses, and the greatest kids in the world! Seeing how free they are when they get on the horse, and the huge smiles at the end of a lesson... it just brightens my whole week. I HIGHLY suggest checking out this great program.
