Description

Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio (PPCO) is an affiliate of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and provides services in an eight-county area in central Ohio. Since 1932, PPCO has provided vital reproductive health care and education for over one million uninsured, indigent, and/ or at-risk women, men, and youth. Through our Health Centers, health care professionals see thousands of patients each year. We are the largest provider of health care for low- to moderate-income women in central Ohio.

Our educational programs offer abstinence-based, interactive learning through our Responsible Sexuality Education curriculum used in middle and high schools, which includes role playing, decision making, and negotiation and refusal skills in addition to basic reproductive health information. Our "Baby Think It Over" program is also very popular, with dozens of lifelike dolls in use every weekend of the school year.

Planned Parenthood of Central Ohio is supported through a combination of patient fees; government funding; and individual, corporate, and institutional contributions.
