Mission Statement

The mission of Commonwealth Youthchoirs is to offer world-class choral music education and performance opportunities to young men and women from diverse economic, racial and ethnic backgrounds while nurturing leadership skills, building character, and encouraging self-discipline.

Description

Our Philosophy:

A young person joins one of our two choirs as a singer, but he or she will leave the experience as a singer-musician. Membership in Commonwealth Youthchoirs requires great commitment, but the rewards are equally great. For our singers, the skills they learn, the music they make, the places they go, and the people they meet are experiences that will serve them all their lives. Participating inKeystone State Boychoir or Pennsylvania Girlchoir truly offers the experience of a lifetime.
