Our mission is to promote a local culture that values all children and families.
Our vision is a community where all children are valued, nurtured, protected, and therefore will reach their full potential.
The Mission of the Shasta CAPCC and AmeriCorps NSRAP Volunteer Program is to identify, recruit, and retain community volunteers to fill specified volunteer opportunities, and to give recognition to those volunteers who contribute their time and efforts to positively impact the lives of others in our community through volunteer service.
Our Values and Goals
The vision of Shasta CAPCC is a community where all children are valued, nurtured, protected, and therefore will reach their full potential. We work towards this vision by building awareness, distributing educational materials, and providing support utilizing activities based on the 40 Developmental Assets (www.search-institute.org).
The AmeriCorps NSRAP serves children and families in Shasta, Siskiyou, and Trinity Counties. Members serve to reduce high risk behavior in youth and to strengthen families with young children.
We are dedicated to creating volunteer opportunities that are flexible and available to all interested community volunteers through a wide range of interests and schedules. We maintain record of volunteer needs and appropriately match those needs to volunteers based on volunteer requests, interests, skills and schedules.
Our most important resources are our AmeriCorps members and our community volunteers who serve to meet the needs of our community. We support our members and volunteers by providing ongoing trainings to meet needed expectations and requirements and by maintaining a motivational recognition program to acknowledge their dedication and services provided.
