Nonprofit Innovations, Inc. (NII) was founded by a group of veteran nonprofit leaders who believe that there is always room for improvement, even in good works. NII's purpose is to research, pilot, and promote approaches to meeting basic human needs (food, shelter, etc.) that will enable the nonprofit sector to address hunger, homelessness, and other community problems within the constraints of the resources available.

NII was designed from the ground up to adapt nimbly to new ideas and changing needs, with as little overhead as possible. We partner with other groups to get more use out of existing resources and equipment, and use modern technology to keep our fixed expenses to a minimum. As a result, we can experiment and try new things much more easily than most traditional nonprofits.
