Camarillo Health Care District

Description

The Camarillo Health Care District focuses on maximizing health and wellness through prevention, screening, education and support. The services provided include Transportation Services, Adult Day Support Services, Senior Nutrition Programs, caregiver resources, dental screenings, exercise, advocacy, education, and support groups. The District is a public agency formed in 1969 by the voters of the Pleasant Valley and surrounding areas to provide community health services. Since that time, the District has grown and has been recognized statewide as California's Outstanding Healthcare District. We were awarded the Camarillo Service Organization of the Year by the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce. This is awarded to organizations for their outstanding dedication to the community and it is the first time a special district has been selected for this award. We've also won Innovative Program of the Year three times from the California Special Districts Association.
