Mission Statement

An ArtsMemphis funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which receives special support provided by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Indie Memphis inspires, supports and promotes independent films and filmmaking in Memphis, connecting communities, audiences and
filmmakers with vibrant, accessible year-round programs, culminating with the annual Indie Memphis Film Festival (named one of the "25 Coolest Film Festivals" by MovieMaker Magazine in 2009).

Description

The purpose of Indie Memphis is to serve the community in two major ways, by providing a nurturing, professional and inspirational environment and showcase (annual Indie Memphis Film Festival) for filmmakers and artists, and by bringing a diverse range of high quality films and insights from around the world to an inclusive Memphis audience.
