Mission Statement

Rockingham District Partners In Ministry (RDPIM) is committed to alleviating the many issues that affect the poor and oppressed in our community.
RDPIM is an intentional plan for team ministry with local congregations in the Rockingham District. RDPIM has initiated a partnership among local church congregations and communities, which will work cooperatively as one Body of Christ to transform lives and respond to the needs of the lost, powerless, lonely and marginalized families in the Rockingham District.

Description

RDPIM serves Richmond, Robeson, and Scotland counties of North Carolina in multiple ways. Each program serves those in need regardless of their religious affiliation.

The newest program is the Resource and Referral Center. Located in Gibson, it will serve people from all three counties. The center will house computers with Internet access, books, informational listings and materials, support groups, counseling, tutoring, mentoring, activities and more. The center will empower those in need.

RDPIM's Youth Empowered to Succeed Program (YES) is for high school youth who participate in the Summer Leadership Academy and then spend the rest of the year doing service projects and tutoring. They are also matched with a mentor.

RDPIM's Rockingham Outreach and Recovery repairs substandard homes of those who cannot afford to fix them. Income and health of the applicant are major criteria for an applicant to qualify for the program.

RDPIM's Community Garden, located in Rockingham, provides fresh produce to those in need.
