Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a nurturing and creative environment for children through artistic expression to promote healing and nurture the human spirit. The Portable Playhouse Incorporated was created to provide a fun environment for children in a hospital setting by embracing their natural creativity through various arts and crafts projects in hope to boost their spirits and help speed up their recovery. We recognize that a stay in a hospital can be stressful on the entire family. The children and their families can take the focus off their surroundings for a short time and have their spirits rejuvenated. Our unique program allows us to attend to children at their bedside, giving them one-on-on attention. Our program is tailored for children of all ages, in all stages of recovery. Our primary focus is on the childrenâ  s creativity and not their illness. The Portable Playhouse uses many different projects to enhance the childrenâ  s creativity, stimulate growth and rejuvenate their spirits. We use mediums such as bead and string jewelry making, puzzle designs, life size paper portraits, and colorful mobiles.
