Mission Statement

The mission of the Karma Cat Rescue Society is to provide a safe and peaceful haven for homeless, abandoned or abused animals. We will help decrease the number of cats being destroyed in kill shelters through the work of our adoption, trap-neuter-return, and education programs.

Description

The vision of the Karma Cat Rescue Society is a world where every companion animal is respected, fed, warm, happy, and not in danger of being killed because it is temporarily homeless.

Our values and guiding principles are:

Compassion: Goodwill and respect for all living creatures.

Success: Effectiveness will be judged by the extent to which animal lives are saved and improved and by the positive experience of the people we contact.

Leadership: We lead by example - developing, promoting and sharing great new ideas and programs to help animals.

Transparency: We are open and honest in our relationships and interactions.

I have two 20 gallon tanks, that I purchased from Pet Smart on Stouts Lane in Monmouth Junction N.J. Whenever I go to this store everyone is so helpful and pleasant. I am always greeted at the door with a pleasant Hello. I am sure that the animals in their care are treated very humanely and with love. Thank you Rose Marie Finnerty 732-329-0026 (home phone)

Karma Cat is a fantastic organization that I am proud to be a part of. I volunteer there every week, and every time I realize how I'm able to make a difference to each animal this organization loves and cares for, it makes me smile. It is both incredible and astounding how much effort and care goes towards making each cat happy and finding every single one its "forever home." I can honestly say that working with Karma Cat has been the best volunteer experience of my life, and I cannot picture myself not continuing to volunteer with Karma Cat in the future.

I started volunteering for this organization after meeting one of the directors, Christie, at PetSmart on Adoption Day. She offered her help to TNR some kittens outside of my office building which we did successfully. Helping a few cats just makes you want to help hundreds more which this organization does everyday. It is a pleasure volunteering for Karma Cat. Such a pleasure I even took a cat home myself! As volunteers, we are constantly updated on adoptions, special needs of each cat, ways to make a difference, etc. Any piece of information that could make us better volunteers and help spread the word. I would and do recommend the organization any chance I get because I know each cat is socialized, well taken care of, and most importantly loved. Karma Cat isn't just devoted to the cats already in its care but to all cats that need a voice. I am more than happy to volunteer for this organization and anyone who adopts a special Karma Cat would be more than happy as well!
