Mission Statement

VOICES advocates for and empowers low income individuals to advocate for themselves through educating the community about issues that most impact low-income individuals. We are working towards solutions to end the cycle of generational poverty.

Description

VOICES offers in person advocacy for people living in poverty. We do this advocacy around social services and education as well as legal issues.

VOICES also has a mentoring program for teenage girls ages 15-18 who are living in poverty or are teenagers of color.

VOICES also has a Speakers' Bureau made up of people living in poverty.

VOICES hosts monthly community meetings that help inform people living in poverty about public policy decisions that will impact their livelihoods.

VOICES also offers credit management training to people living in poverty.
