Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide preventive health services to reduce infant mortality, reduce the number of premature & low birth weight babies, and to improve overall health of young children.

Description

We are a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) serving Collier, Glades, Hendry, and Lee Counties since 1992, serving over 17,000 families each year.

Our programs include:

Ensuring access to Prenatal Care for pregnant women who are uninsured.

Risk Screening for pregnant women who may be at risk for premature birth or infant death.

A Home Visiting Program, which provides one-on-one education on key health topics and to provide any additional support needed by the mother to ensure a successful birth outcome.

The MOMCARE program, which ensures that pregnant women enrolled in Medicaid are connected to prenatal care providers.

Bear Hugs Support Groups which helps first-time mothers, not eligible for the our home visiting program, by providing education and peer support in caring for their newborn.

An ongoing Outreach and Education campaign for all families in our community, empowering them with information to help their baby have a healthy start in life.
