At Evercare(tm) Hospice & Palliative Care, we provide compassionate care for those facing end-of-life issues and personal support to their families. Because patients prefer the comfort of familiar surroundings, we provide care wherever patients reside, whether in a private home, a nursing home, an assisted living facility or other in-patient setting.
Description
Hospice is personal care that focuses on pain control and symptom management, rather than cure-oriented treatments. Typically, a hospice patient has a life expectancy of weeks or a few months. Hospice includes physical, spiritual and emotional care for patients and their families and is tailored to a patient's needs and preferences.
Evercare(tm) Hospice & Palliative Care is dedicated to helping patients obtain insurance coverage for hospice services. Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance companies cover hospice-related services at 100 percent, typically not requiring a deductible or copayment.
Covered hospice services include visits from hospice team members, as well as medications, medical equipment and supplies related to the terminal diagnosis. We bill insurers directly, eliminating the need for patients to file claims or other paperwork.
Hospice Volunteers serve patients and their families in a variety of positions. Volunteers provide assistance and supportive services such as reading or writing for the patient, providing companionship, providing music, running errands or staying with the patient so family members can leave the home for short periods. Appropriately trained and certified volunteers may also provide Massage Therapy, Reiki Massage, Pet Visits, or Music Visits. The volunteer is an integral part of the patient care team and works with other team members to provide assistance, comfort and care, to help the patient and the family attain the greatest level of quality of life at this challenging time.u>
