Mission Statement

We are Women and Men working together to end the cycle of violence.


Description

IMPACT has been teaching people that their lives are worth fighting for since 1989. We initially developed our training for adult women, seeking to combat the frightening statistic that one-in-three women will be the victim of sexual assault during her lifetime. We've since expanded to teach kids classes and men as well.

Although IMPACT is best known for its dynamic fights, we strongly believe that fighting is a last resort. In fact, our emphasis on verbal skills has become a strong component in all our classes and is the skill set our graduates report using on a daily basis to set boundaries and live comfortable lives.

In converting to a non-profit in 2010, our goal is to reach out to survivors of assault, rape, and domestic violence in communities that would not otherwise have access to this transformative, empowering, life-saving training.
