Community Tampa Bay has the most committed volunteers I've ever been a part of. The vision of the organization so closely aligns with its volunteers' personal visions, that you see volunteers give their time and resources in ways most people reserve for family. While volunteers are close (both to each other and the youth they work with), they're among the most open and inclusive people you'll ever meet. The work they do is no small task, but both the employees and volunteers put such heart into it, you can't help but want to bring your best. The impact on area youth is palpable (and measurable). Teen graduates of its ANYTOWN program go on to create, facilitate and manage their own community-based activities, in addition to creating more inclusive cultures in their schools. One 20-year old graduate is running for a local school board as of this writing. I believe wholeheartedly in the organization and its work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a place to volunteer.
