Pazzaz is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the future life prospects of at-risk youth through quality customized academic programs.
Description
PAZZAZ Academic Enrichment Program serves over 150 at-risk students a week or a total of 1500 per year in all programs. PAZZAZ provides year-round, low-income and scholarship based tuition, after-school tutoring and homework assistance in small groups of four in reading, writing and all subject areas in grades 1-12. Additionally, a larger continuum of services allows students to stay involved with PAZZAZ and continually apply their learning skills and increase self-confidence. These include a Math/Algebra Clinic, weekly teen talk television show, a high school oratorical contest, a family intervention program and individual college preparation program, Friday Remediation, and Energy Club. PAZZAZ also co-hosts New ERAA's, (Everybody Recommitted to Academic Achievement) back-to-school conference, Rally for Education and Festival for students and parents, K-12.
