Seer Farms Inc. is a New Jersey-based non-profit that was established for the inter-related purposes of intervening when families are in crisis and need a bridge strategy of support for their pets and to enable multi-species animal rescue and placement.
Seer Farms will:
Create a bridge program in foreclosure and other crisis situations to allow families to arrange temporary long term care for their animals
Support the work of disaster relief organizations by providing for temporary care and housing of animals in affected areas
Support animals who are victims in other emergent discrete crisis situations including but not limited to adverse health situations that interfere with a pet owner's ability to provide ongoing adequate care
Allow for, in a limited way, traditional rescue, care and placement of a wide variety of animals in need
Ultimately use its facilities and animals in community outreach activities including animal assisted activities and programs on the farm
Engage in all necessary and appropriate fundraising activities to support its mission
An animal sanctuary that provides temporary housing for dogs and cats whose guardians are going through a crisis and temporarily unable to keep/care for their companion animals. Once a guardian's situation improves, the guardian is reunited with his/her companion animal. The sanctuary also provides a safe haven for several feral cats, who are not considered adoptable. The feral cats live at the sanctuary in indoor/outdoor enclosures and can live out their lives in safety and comfort. The sanctuary also has many beautiful, friendly, healthy cats available for adoption. And, there are several "special needs" cats available for adoption.
