The Albany Police Athletic League (PAL), Inc. builds partnerships among youth, police and the community through collaborative programs designed to encourage and develop good citizenship and improve the quality of life in Albany, New York.
The Albany Police Athletic League (PAL), Inc. is a juvenile crime prevention program that brings local youths, City police and Albany community residents together in non-law enforcement settings. PAL accomplishes its goals by providing numerous educational, recreational, and athletic programs to more than 4,000 Albany youth each year. These activities equip youths to build relationships; instill self-respect and discipline; and develop character. Ranging from Chess, to Martial Arts, to Youth Leadership Council to Lacrosse-- There is a program for everyone at PAL. PAL membership is open to all youth who live in or attend school in the City of Albany regardless of race, sex, or socioeconomic circumstances with an emphasis on those youth who are most underserved and underprivileged. PAL is dedicated to providing youth with the support and skills they will need to journey towards a brighter future.
