About the Finger Lakes Riesling Festival

Celebrate the Finger Lakes Region with the second annual Finger Lakes Riesling Festival, presented by the Villas at Canandaigua. Hosted in one of the top performing viniculture regions of the world, the Finger Lakes Riesling Festival, "a mile of family fun," was founded to celebrate the grape harvest and enjoy the food and culture that makes the Finger Lakes Region a unique place to live and visit.

Description

The 2nd Annual Finger Lakes Riesling Festival is a
"Mile of Family Fun" and features live music, food, arts and crafts, a farmers market, wine tasting and much more!

The festival will be held in conjunction with the Rotary Pier Festival on Saturday, August 14 at the Canandaigua Pier and it will celebrate of the upcoming harvest as well as the the food, wine and culture that
make our region such a unique place to live and visit.

Admission to the festival will be free, however donations will be accepted throughout the event. A portion of the events proceeds will be donated to the Canandaigua YMCA capital campaign.


Over the past two years the Canandaigua Family YMCA has embarked on a $7 million expansion project to improve their services to the community including a new Wellness Center, swimming pool and parking lot. The Canandaigua Family YMCA offers services to families in the Canandaigua community including fitness, aquatics, childcare, youth and teen activities, after school programs and much more.


The Finger Lakes Riesling Festival was founded in 2009. Last year, the event attracted over 25,000 people to the Canandaigua area. This event will further position the Finger Lakes as one of the top viniculture regions in the world for Riesling production.
