Mission Statement

Bread of Life:

Our mission is to cultivate attitudes, skills and practices that transform lives, organizations, and communities.

Description

Bread of Life is a charitable and educational non-profit center for spiritual formation. We envision communities that model and support an awakening human journey. We are a small, actively expanding non-profit, treating all people as having sacred worth, a stance that celebrates the diversity of people's gifts. Cultivation of these attitudes and practices grows postivie choice-making that benefits the person and society. Our processes encourage participants to live from their deepest values as a contribution to the common good.

We have three main program streams:

  • Spirit in the Arts (our free, self-directed arts studio and hub for facilitated creative groups)
  • Mindful Engagement (offering skills for freeing the best thinking and spirit in organizations and communities, also known as Contemplative Dialogue)
  • Spiritual Formation & Leadership (offering Spiritual Direction, a kind of GPS for the soul, and other leadership trainings that equip others to do this kind of work in their own settings)
