To support the development of healthy individuals and effective communities. To develop & support programs that produce jobs, provide training, and reduce poverty among LA County's urban poor. To build bridges connecting programs, families & children within the County's public housing communities and corporate and foundation partners willing to help them succeed.

Description

The CDF is a non profit "friends of" organization that helps design "nuts & bolts" programs & curriculum for training programs for youth and adults at the County's public housing sites. We help find and support apprenticeship programs; provide college scholarships; and help promote resident-initiated programs designed to guide residents toward self-sufficiency and away from public assistance.
