Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To support people with disAbilities, including those with multiple, complex human and economic service needs, in becoming as independent as possible, in accordance with their own choices and desires. To promote and facilitate change in systems whose policies and/or practices create barriers which impede people with disAbilities from living independently.
As an Independent Living Center, WCCD's philosophy and mission are to facilitate equal access to the community for all people with disabilities. We provide customized independent living services to our participants, helping them to meet self-identified goals. Other WCCD programs and services include: peer support groups, a mentoring program, bus travel training (teaching people with disabilities and seniors how to use the Metro system), case and systems advocacy, employability services, a Disability Law Project, information and assistance, consulting services for businesses, and public education.
