Mission Statement

The Education Fund (The Ed Fund) is an independent non-profit organization established in 1985. Our mission is to design and implement initiatives that involve the private sector in improving our schools and bringing excellence to public education.

Description

AmeriCorps is a federally funded program involving more than 50,000 Americans nationwide in more than 500 community service projects. AmeriCorps members dedicate one year of their life to helping solve problems in local communities. They provide service to communities mainly in the areas of education, environment, and public safety. The Education Fund's AmeriCorps Dade READS! program is getting things done! As part of a statewide AmeriCorps initiative, more than 200 AmeriCorps members work to help children in grades K-4 improve their reading skills.
