Mission Statement

The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities is to ensure the availability of services and supports that assist individuals in living the life they choose; to promote their health and safety; and to assist and support the families of these individuals in achieving these goals.

Description

The Foster Grandparent Program is sponsored by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities and receives Federal funding from the Corporation for National Service. The Foster Grandparent Program offers seniors 60 years of age and older volunteer opportunities assisting children with special or exceptional needs in over 50 settings.
