Description

The Solano Midnight Sun Foundation was co-founded in 2004 by Vacaville residents: Debbie Wood and Elizabeth Fry who both survived breast cancer in 2q003-2004. During their 6 months of treatment they encountered many less fortunate woman who were not only fighting for their lives, but had become financially destitute as a result. They also felt fortunate that they were financially in good shape and had tremendous support from family and friends. They found out during their treatment that many women were not so lucky and realized they needed to do something to help. So they formed the Solano Midnight Sun Foundation. Together with their strictly volunteer staff, have raised over $300,000 and provided 150+ sponsored mammograms.
