Mission Statement

Wildlife Center, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to protecting the future of native wildlife species in New Jersey through education of the public and rehabilitation and release of local wildlife. Our primary mission is to raise funds necessary to support additional staffing and cover operating expenses for the Mercer County Wildlife Center (MCWC) in Titusville, NJ, a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitation facility that cares for injured, ill, and displaced wildlife.

Description

One of the largest wildlife rehabilitation centers in New Jersey, MCWC provides animals with medical treatment and temporary refuge before returning them to an appropriate wild habitat. Each year, MCWC treats more than 2,000 birds and mammals. Approximately 60% of these animals are able to return to the wild - a success rate that exceeds the national average. All this is accomplished by a small staff including one full-time, licensed rehabilitator, two part-time support personnel, and a number of volunteer wildlife technicians, including 4 volunteer veterinarians.
