Sutter Care at Home, the non-profit, community based home health and hospice agency, is seeking volunteers to provide companionship and comfort in the homes of Contra Costa and Solano County patients and families coping with life-threatening illness. Volunteers are an important part of the hospice team of nurses, social workers, home health aides, and the patient's doctor, helping to provide compassionate care for terminally ill patients, and to ease the stress and exhaustion for families. No special skills are required for this rewarding opportunity. A training program is provided.
