Bootheel Youth Museum

Description

The Bootheel Youth Museum is a hands-on children's discovery center located in the poorest region of the state of Missouri and is the only facility of its kind in a 120-mile radius. We provide a unique educational arena for our area that is usually only attainable in large cities like Memphis and St. Louis. The BYM presents extensive educational science outreach programming and workshops to children ages 3 to 18 throughout Southeast Missouri and Northeastern Arkansas. The BYM annually has 27,000+ visitors hosting guests from 42 states and eight foreign countries; currently 37% of our guests are children visiting on a school field trip.
