Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote the safety and well-being of vulnerable persons subject to injury and damage in their person and property from unlawful and abusive guardianship/conservatorship proceedings; to be a support organization for victims and their families; and to work towards ultimate legislative reform of guardianship as presently practiced (currently working in the best interests of the fiduciaries instead of their wards; i.e. permitting unjust enrichment without adequate controls or oversight). We carry out this mission through research, outreach/education and advocacy - and going forward, by alliance with community interest law reform, civil rights and other advocacy organizations.
Description
NASGA is a 501(c)(3) public benefit civil rights organization formed by victims of unlawful and abusive guardianships and conservatorships and is incorporated in Indiana. Our membership is nationwide; volunteers work out of their homes in any state.
