Mission Statement

Formed in December 2007, BBAWC.org improves the welfare of Brooklyn's abandoned pets and wildlife in need.

Description

We care for and rehabilitate animals in need in Brooklyn.

Rescued pets and wildlife go to a licensed veterinarian for examination, treatment and spaying/neutering. We make every effort to find a suitable forever home. We release animals that are truly wild/feral into a safe, secure location or bring them to a sanctuary after recovery from any medical treatment.

BBAWC often coordinates with other recognized rescue organizations to find appropriate and safe foster and adoptive homes for our pets. We also collaborate with certified wildlife rehabilitators to rescue injured and orphaned wildlife.
