Mission Statement

(Note: DC Vote's full name is the Coalition for DC Representation in Congress Education Fund) The mission of the Coalition for DC Representation in Congress Education Fund is to educate the public and the Congress of the United States about the need for citizens of the District of Columbia to enjoy full voting representation in the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate. The Coalition brings together any and all organizations, citizens, and other supporters of the principles enumerated in the Constitution that guarantee democratic representation of all citizens and assert the principle of "one person one vote." The Coalition is open to all who wish to pursue those goals through nonviolent means and with respect for all other members of the Coalition.

Description

DC Vote is an organization dedicated to educating all citizens within DC and the country about DC's lack of voting representation in Congress. We work in many ways to spread our message. This includes canvassing the National Mall, building relationships with other local organizations, and even through DC's own license plates. The heart of DC Vote is in its volunteers. Any and all volunteers are welcome. We will continue to work and add momentum to DC's stuggle for true democracy until we have full voting representation in Congress.
