SaddleUp! Foundation is dedicated to empowering the mentally and physically challenged, while enhancing the lives of the families that support the individuals we serve.

Vision:
SaddleUp! Foundation brings this mission to life by upholding the highest level of equine facilitated activities and therapies. This all takes place in a safe, unique, family oriented and fun-filled environment for animal-human synergy to occur. Additionally, the efforts of collaborative relationships, organizations, partners, instructors, therapists, volunteers and the community look to enhance and expand on its programs and increase knowledge of the industry. Once on horseback, take life by the reins!

Description

Through SaddleUp! Foundation™ programs, we provide horse therapy for the mentally, emotionally, and physically challenged. We serve individuals with diagnoses including, but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Traumatic Paralysis, Muscular Dystrophy, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Fragile X Syndrome, Prader-Willi Syndrome, and Multiple Sclerosis. In order to meet the needs of the participant, our therapists and instructors utilize advanced techniques and equipment for hippotherapy and therapeutic activities such as riding and vaulting in addition to Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) and Psychotherapy (EFP).

You can see the passion each one of the staff members has for the work they do! It is inspiring to work with the kids and horses each time I'm out at the ranch. I was afraid SaddleUp! would not want me as a volunteer, as I had no horse experience. That was not the case. They helped me learn the ropes and were always available for help and questions. It's amazing how quickly I became comfortable with the horse stuff! Everyone was so helpful and interested in helping me learn. Volunteering at SaddleUp! is an uplifting and very rewarding experience! It soon became a passion of mine.
